About Me

Let me begin this ADVENTURE to admit that I am AWKWARDLY sensitive. I originally wrote this for my daughter (who is currently in 5th grade).

I have been told that I can ruin my relationships with the words I wrote. It’s OK, I feel ALONE most of the time.

Unfortunately, I now have come to the belief that romanticizing the pains of life isn’t as poetic as it sounds. But, I feel that my story needs to be told.

Who am I writing this for?

  • I was writing this for my daughter
  • Am I writing this for everyone who knows or loves someone with mental illness?
  • IT IS FOR THOSE WHO FEEL MISUNDERSTOOD.

Or, more appropriately, I want to be understood as a parent, husband, and exist in a world that a book like this could reach out to someone and say, “I can move mountains!” or, “I am better than the tears, the haters reduce me to.”

In my writings, prose AND poetry ARE ONE AND THE SAME, almost as an afterthought. Romanticize the pain, and the poetry and prose will follow. I will not be using my name.

My Bio: I am not writing this using my real name to protect the people I am writing about. This is my first publication.
